Houses, Concerts, and Cars...oh and a birthday!

We've been looking for an apartment like mad crazy people. We would drive around looking for "For Rent" signs and call them. I have lost the numbers and addresses of all the numbers we've called. Actually most of the people we have called haven't called us back. We called one apartment place called The Willows but they said they wouldn't know until April 10th. Well on April 3rd we decided to just go by and check out the apartment place and see if there is anything available. We went by and there were two apartments we looked at. One was a basement apartment, but it had air conditioning. The 2nd one was a 2 bedroom on the very top floor. It was very nice, it had a balcony, sky light, large storage closet. But it was just a little too expensive. We asked the lady showing us the apartments if they might get a one bedroom on the top level, and she said she wouldn't officially know until the 10th because that is when everyone has to put in their notice. Well I was very unsure about what I should do. I really wanted to live there because it has a pool, barbeque, sauna(so it says), and it looks very nice, at least nicer than where we are now. I decided that we should wait at least until the 10th to find out if there is any apartments available on the top level. We really don't want to be on the bottom because where we live now people walk by all the time, and we really don't like people looking into our windows, it's weird. So we had a few other appointments throughout the week. We went to look at the other apartments but none of them we're as nice as the willows. We had two other appointments this weekend and BOTH of them cancelled on us. SO we called this morning and found out that there was a one bedroom on the top level available. We didn't look at it cause it's suppose to look just like the one on the bottom, but with a sky light. We went over and put a deposit down. As soon as they do a credit check we'll know if we have a place to live. I'm slightly worried about the credit check because we haven't been doing so well with paying bills on time and what not. PLEASE keep your fingers crossed!

On Monday night Nickolas's parents flew in from CA for Nickolas's senior recital. Their plane was delayed quite a while so they didn't end up getting to our apartment until really late. It was really great to have family come visit. I love it when they visit! And not just because they take us out to eat! :) Nick didn't get very much sleep the night before his recital, but he did amazing at his recital. I'm glad that it's over because he was very stressed about it. Then Nick's parents took us to Olive Garden for my birthday, it wasn't until the 9th but they weren't going to be here for it. It was so nice having them here.

On Thursday I had an interview for the First National Bank. I hope that it went well. I thought that my Tmobile one went well but apparently it didn't. I guess in my Tmobile interview I took too long to answer questions. If someone asks me a question I want to make sure I say the right thing...it wasn't like I was sitting there twiddling my thumbs. I think that was just an excuse, who knows? I hope that I did well on the bank interview!

On Saturday Nick had his PLACE exam in order to do student teaching. I hope that went well as well. He said it was weird because some of the questions would be extremely easy and then he'd get a really hard one all of a sudden. He thinks he did okay. The test was really early in the morning so he came home and made me breakfast for my birthday. He is sooo sweet. He bought me some flowers, and was very nice to me all day. We decided to go shopping in Loveland because I got some money from my Grandma and my mom. I got two shirts that were on sale with my grandma's money, and a jewelry making kit. I wad definitely spoiled. We went to 3 Margaritas for dinner, because Nick never wants to go there and it was my birthday so he had to go :) It was a really great birthday!

Something we've been thinking about and need to make a decision about pretty soon, is our car situation. Nick's car has a broken window and it won't start for some reason. We've recently had problems with it starting before but we though we had it fixed. The battery kept dying so we got a new alternator on it and a new battery. It still won't start. We need to get someone to look at it. That might require us getting it towed. We have a friend who offered to look at it so hopefully we'll find a time where he can do that. The other option that we have been dreamily thinking about, is actually buying a car! I say dreamily because we'd only be able to do that in our dreams. We don't have a steady income so it's pretty much out of the question, but it's nice to dream about sometimes. I told Nick we should look at some Chevy's because that is mostly all that my family has bought. But his family are definitely Honda people. I guess we would have to see.

Edit:
Hi every one! (this is Nickolas) I couldn't stand the audio the camera picked up, so here's the same clip that that Rachel posted combined with some better audio.
