New Goals

Yearly Goals for 2012:

  • Read the Book of Mormon all the way.(Either with Nick or by myself).
  • Make a budget and stick to it.
  • Get a job
  • Lose 25 lbs. I figured that if I loose 2 lbs per month then it will be around 24 lbs a year.
  • Work on children's book stories or ideas. (I want to write a children's book, and illustrate it)
  • Keep apartment clean
  • Control my temper. When I get upset sometimes Ireally get upset. But it usually only lasts a few minutes. I do not have a good outlet figured out, so my natural reaction is to hit or throw stuff.
  • Eat more fruits and veggies.(hopefully we'll be able to do this more when we have jobs.)
  • Do more crafts/drawing.
  • Become better at the piano or other instruments.
  • Eat out less.

Monthly:

  • Read scriptures every day.
  • Stick to my weekly budget.
  • Lose 2 lbs
  • Eat out once a month ONLY
  • Work on drawing/art/stories or crafts, and finish 1.
  • Have entire apartment clean by the end of the month.

Weekly:

  • Read family scriptures every night, as well as personal scripture study.
  • Plan meals-cook meals(no eating out).
  • Exercise video 3 times a week Mon., Wed., Fri.
  • Walk or ride bike 30-40 minutes Sun., Tues., Thurs. and Saturday.
  • Draw/write/do crafts once a week or more.
  • Clean 1 room every week (thoroughly)
  • Practice piano/instrument everyday
  • Hug, kiss Nick everyday
  • When I get upset don't yell (breath)
  • Do dishes everyday (ask Nick to help)<---his suggestion
  • Stop being lazy (play Sims for 2 hrs only) set timer
  • Say daily prayers and family prayers
  • Eat fruit and veggies if possible.

To me some of the goals seem very achievable which worries me that I might just skip them. Others seem very hard and so I might just give up. I will at least try!

We are going to get our diplomas tomorrow!! WOOOT! You know I never use to say woot until I moved here, Weird?! Nick will finally be able to apply for student teaching, we thought he was going to be able to apply without his diploma but he found out that he does need his diploma. He doesn't have to have his physical teaching license, which is good because those usually take like 6 months to process. We are really hoping that he get's some subbing jobs before the month is through, otherwise we are definitely out of luck!

We went to P.F. Changs for the first time. We got a gift card for Christmas from Nick's older brother and sister-in-law. I had never been there and I always thought that is was a really expensive place. It looks expensive but surprisingly the prices were about the same as any of the obscure Chinese restaurants around here in town. It was really good too! I found a tutorial on how to do pin curls here
I tried them and they made my hair SUPER curly. In the picture I actually had let them settle and slept on them and they were still very curly. It would probably work better with longer hair. My hair did not look anything like the tutorial they were super curly even after I tried combing through it. When I was doing my hair I washed my hair then did the pin curls, then slept on them with my hair wet, which is why they turned out so curly I guess. I like the idea of pin curls or anything that doesn't have to do with a curling iron. My hair is super fine and using curling irons really breaks my hair. I'm still trying to figure out how to get my hair healthier. Any suggestions? I've tried using a vitamin that is suppose to make your hair healthier but I haven't really noticed any difference.
